Outside Professional Visitors

We maintain close links with various professionals to ensure all healthcare and personal needs are met within the comfort of the home.

Clergymen

We welcome regular visits from representatives of all denominations to provide spiritual support, and Holy Communion is held on the first Wednesday of every month.

Hairdresser

A visiting hairdresser attends twice weekly, offering a full range of salon services to our residents. Residents may also choose to continue using their own regular hairdresser, who is welcome to visit and make use of the facilities.

Chiropodist

Regular chiropody sessions are arranged to help maintain residents’ foot health, and residents are also welcome to continue seeing their own chiropodist if they prefer.

General
Practitioner

Local GPs make regular visits and are on call to provide medical oversight and continuity of care. Wherever possible, we are happy for residents to continue with their own GP if they so choose.

Hairdressing Salon

Our on-site hairdressing salon is a place where residents can enjoy a range of professional treatments. Whether it's a routine cut, styling for a special occasion, or simply a moment of pampering, our visiting hairdresser ensures everyone feels their best in a familiar and relaxed environment.

Residents at The Coach House Nursing Home benefit from a range of thoughtful on-site amenities designed to add comfort and convenience to daily life. In our main reception area, there is a small shop offering a selection of everyday essentials and useful items, including toiletries such as shampoo, bubble bath, toothpaste and deodorant, as well as stationery like writing paper, envelopes, pens and stamps. We also have a well-stocked bookshelf in reception offering a variety of books to suit different interests, including a selection of large print books to ensure accessibility for all residents. Residents are more than welcome to take as many books as they like to enjoy in the lounges or to read in the comfort of their own rooms.

Newspaper Service

A daily newspaper delivery service is available, ensuring your favourite reads are delivered right to your door every morning.

Laundry Service

We understand the importance of feeling fresh and comfortable in your own clothes. Our full, on-site personal laundry service ensures that all clothing is carefully laundered, ironed, and returned to residents' rooms with the utmost care. This dedicated domestic support allows residents to relax, knowing their personal belongings are professionally managed as part of our homely environment.

We encourage residents to remain as independent as possible and to continue pursuing their own hobbies and interests, as this plays an important role in supporting both physical and emotional wellbeing. The Coach House is their home, and residents are encouraged to take part in the life of the home and its activities as much or as little as they wish. At the same time, we recognise the importance of balancing freedom of choice with the need to ensure safety and appropriate support for everyone.

Our activities organiser works five afternoons each week, coordinating a varied and engaging programme of social events within the home and in the wider community. In fine weather, this includes outdoor activities such as garden parties and local outings, helping to create enjoyable experiences and meaningful opportunities for social connection.
