Our Care Services
We provide a full spectrum of specialist care tailored to the individual needs of our residents, ensuring comfort, dignity, and professional support at every stage of their journey with us.
Residential care provides support for older people who need help with day-to-day living while still maintaining as much independence as possible. It is designed for people aged 65 and over who may need assistance with tasks such as bathing, dressing, taking medication, preparing meals, household chores, and mobility.
Many people choose residential care when living at home becomes difficult or when they no longer wish to live alone and manage the responsibilities of maintaining a household. It offers reassurance that support is available whenever it is needed, day and night.
At its heart, residential care is about peace of mind, for both residents and their families. It provides a safe, supportive environment where individuals can feel at home, build friendships, and continue to enjoy hobbies and interests. Our aim is to create a setting where residents can truly flourish while receiving the right level of care and attention for their needs.
Nursing care is designed for individuals who have more complex or ongoing health needs that require the support of qualified nurses, available day and night. It is suitable for people who may have medical conditions, physical disabilities, or frailty that means they can no longer be safely managed at home or in a standard residential setting.
At The Coach House, nursing care includes not only help with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, mobility, and medication management, but also clinical oversight from trained nursing staff. Care is delivered in line with each resident’s individual care plan, ensuring their medical, personal, and emotional needs are fully supported.
Nursing care provides reassurance that professional help is always on hand, with close coordination alongside GPs and other healthcare professionals when needed. Above all, it offers a safe and supportive environment where residents can receive high-quality, round-the-clock care while still enjoying comfort, dignity, and a sense of home.
Respite care provides short-term stays at The Coach House, offering high-quality care and support on a temporary basis. It is ideal for individuals who may need assistance following an illness or hospital stay, or when regular carers or family members are taking a well-earned break.
During a respite stay, residents receive the same level of personalised care as permanent residents, including support with personal care, medication, mobility, and daily living needs. Care is tailored to each individual and delivered by our experienced team, ensuring comfort, safety, and reassurance throughout their stay.
Respite care also offers an opportunity to experience life at The Coach House in a relaxed and supportive environment, with access to social activities, freshly prepared meals, and companionship. It provides peace of mind for families, knowing their loved one is being well cared for in a welcoming home-from-home setting.
Palliative (end-of-life) care at The Coach House Nursing Home is focused on providing comfort, dignity, and compassionate support to residents and their families during the final stages of life. Our priority is to ensure each person is cared for with respect and sensitivity, managing symptoms effectively and promoting the highest possible quality of life.
Care is delivered by our experienced nursing team, working closely with GPs, community healthcare professionals, and specialist services where needed. We take a holistic approach, addressing not only physical comfort but also emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
Families are supported throughout, with open communication, reassurance, and encouragement to spend meaningful time with their loved one in a calm and caring environment. Our aim is to provide peace, dignity, and comfort, ensuring residents are treated with kindness and compassion at every stage.
